My "Yaute" (Haute-Savoie in local dialect) is located about twenty kilometers from Annecy, near a small village called Aviernoz (often referred to as Avierne), at the foot of Parmelan (hence the photo).

Some of my family hails from this area (the other part is Breton, as you can see in my articles about Saint Malo), and I love spending the summer with my uncle and grandparents there. There are incredible fishing spots in the Usillon valley and a bit further in the plains of Alex.

Furthermore, you'll find two fantastic new fishing spots in Savoie, about an hour from Annecy. I tried them out this summer. They are absolutely amazing!
